系統(tǒng)硬件環(huán)境:
筆記本機(jī):sony pcg-grx560
無線網(wǎng)卡:Lucent/Agere firmware version 8.72 (在這里我不知道我的網(wǎng)卡是具體什么型號(hào)的。因?yàn)檫@個(gè)卡是內(nèi)部測(cè)試卡,沒有任何商標(biāo)標(biāo)識(shí)。但是芯片是Lucent的)
Access Point :(1)D-Link DWL-1000AP Firmware Version: 3.2.31 ESSID = default
Access Point :(2)Avaya Wireless Model:RG-1 ESSID 22e6da
軟件:
linux 版本:Red Hat Linux Advanced Server 2.1
kernel = 2.4.20
在編譯核心的時(shí)候可以許選擇過去的無線網(wǎng)卡的驅(qū)動(dòng)程序。因?yàn)橐?jí)。
但是需要支持pcmcia。
首先要說的事情是本身 AS 2.1 是能夠支持我試驗(yàn)的這個(gè)網(wǎng)卡。但是我發(fā)現(xiàn)它的驅(qū)動(dòng)程序是在是
很老,而且在2.1里面沒有wireless_tools :-( (在RedHat 9中是有wireless_tools但是我沒有
在RedHat 9中試驗(yàn)過)。于是就重新下載和安裝這些軟件。
下載和釋放所需要的軟件:
wget http://ozlabs.org/people/dgibson/dldwd/orinoco-0.13e.tar.gz
wget http://pcmcia-cs.sourceforge.net/ftp/contrib/wireless_tools.26.tar.gz
編譯無線網(wǎng)卡的驅(qū)動(dòng):
tar zxvf ./orinoco-0.13e.tar.gz
cd orinoco-0.13e
make
make install
編譯無線網(wǎng)卡工具:
tar zxvf ./wireless_tools.26.tar.gz
cd wireless_tools.26
make
make install
建立一個(gè)網(wǎng)卡的啟動(dòng)界面:
cp /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth1
vi /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth1
根據(jù)需要進(jìn)行更改,下面是我的ifcfg-eth1的內(nèi)容。大家可以根據(jù)實(shí)際情況進(jìn)行定義:
DEVICE=eth1
BOOTPROTO=static
BROADCAST=192.168.50.255
IPADDR=192.168.50.234
NETMASK=255.255.255.0
NETWORK=192.168.50.0
ONBOOT=yes
GATEWAY=192.168.50.234

存盤退出
配置無線網(wǎng)卡的參數(shù):
cp /etc/pcmcia/wireless.opts /etc/pcmcia/wireless.opts.back
vi /etc/pcmcia/wireless.opts
修改下面內(nèi)容:
INFO="Wavelan IEEE example (Lucent default settings)"
ESSID="default" #更改成為你Access Point 的SSID
MODE="Ad-Hoc"
# RATE="auto"
KEY="off" #是否使用wep 進(jìn)行加密。
存盤退出。
重新啟動(dòng)你的計(jì)算機(jī)。
系統(tǒng)啟動(dòng)后,可以輸入dmesg檢測(cè)核心是否加載上了無線網(wǎng)卡的驅(qū)動(dòng)程序。例如下面:

root登陸后,輸入下面的命令檢查eth1 是否啟動(dòng)成功:
[root@wanghao root]# ifconfig eth1

然后可以試驗(yàn)一下是否能夠ping到Access Point 和你其他的計(jì)算機(jī)。
以上這些東西就是一般用來配置無線網(wǎng)卡的步驟。
但是在有一些時(shí)候你需要拿你的筆記本去其他的地方(連接不同的Access Point )這樣
就需要更改不同的ESSID下面我簡(jiǎn)單介紹一些如何更改不同的ESSID。
首先你可以檢查一下你現(xiàn)在的ESSID,使用下面的命令:

其中ESSID:"default" 就是你現(xiàn)在的ESSID。
檢查使用的channel:

其中22e6da 是我的另外一個(gè)Access Point的ssid
檢查更改結(jié)果:
